*Friday Night: Micro-Opening Party*
Ogle the slug crawl (cat walk) where you can check out Piffy’s swirling neon prints, or browse handmade embroidery from The Sea Cats envious collection.
Witness the birth of Slugtopia’s own new brand of sex positive slugwear, each piece custom made by Aequorea Victoria.
In between crawls listen to sassy sharp and surprising Northern comedy from Twisted Tran’s Sister, and witness the eye melting wonder of Holly Hotlips’ sluggy contortion and play with @SLIME TIME’S personal slime goody-bags whilst watching slug-inspired visuals of Slugtopia and art videos by Kat Amaral.
Gaze upon the art installations hanging from every corner. Curated by Lisa Price and featuring artwork from Lisa Rose, ‘inspired by female and queer experiences, bodies, sexuality, and empowerment’, Captain Grimace’s jewellery and sculpture, almalgations of ‘organic and the macabre...uncanny and the preposterous’. and Chucky Pig Productions’ alluring symbiotic representations of animal, human and alien forms in fluid black lines and vivid segments of colour send you to other dimensions.
